Butter two 8-inch muffin tins.

In a small mixing bowl, beat the butter and brown sugar together with an electric mixer for about 1 minute, or just until smooth.

Add the browns and sugar, and beat until well combined.

Add in the brown butter, one cup at a time, beating the mixture until all of the brown is incorporated.

Add one egg at a and beat well until just combined.

Stir in the vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves.

Add the milk, eggs, salt, and cardamoms, and mix until well incorporated.

Pour into muffin pans and bake for about 15 minutes, or a bit longer.

Remove from the oven and let cool completely.

Serve warm or cold.

French Breakfast with French Butter and Brown Sugar French Toast comes together quickly.

It takes just about 30 seconds to make, and I like to put it in an airtight container in the refrigerator for a few hours to allow the browning to fully dry out.
