I’ll return to Hungary next Thursday, November 6, 2018, after a six-month stay, after the Hungarian government decided to end the compulsory conscription in 2016.
I’m delighted to be back in Hungary, I was able to spend the last five years of my life in Budapest.
The Hungarian government is doing the right thing and ending compulsory conscripts.
The conscription is a disaster and the conscript numbers are now at the lowest level in 30 years.
The conscripting system is not working and I hope the government of Hungary will stop the conscription and work with the UN to fix it.
I’m delighted and looking forward to returning to Hungary for the second time.
